State Representative
Jeanine Notter
Represents Out-of-State Polluting Interests
Not Our Interests
Ignoring pollution is not a Conservative value.
Tricked by the fossil fuel industry's efforts to maximize its profits at our expense, this is Merrimack's Representative Jeanine Notter unwittingly offering polluter industry propaganda to the Merrimack Town Council.
"The Heartland Institute sent me a whole box."
Why does she hand out polluter industry pamphlets rather than copies of the NH 2022 Climate Assessment Report by our state's official climate scientist? Learn more about out-of-state polluter industry influence in our State Legislature...
Representative Notter has been gifted travel, lodging, and food worth over $24,000 since 2018 by Koch Network fossil fuel industry-funded front groups including Heartland Institute, ALEC, Americans for Prosperity, and Young Americans for Liberty. She gets reimbursed by these groups for taking trips to their events around the country where they trick her into ignoring pollution from fossil fuels by misinforming her about science, economics, and solutions.
She is given fossil fuel industry pamphlets, talking points, and out-of-state polluter bills that she brings to the NH State Legislature. Then, as an NH House GOP leader, she tells GOP Representatives to vote against bills that citizens want (e.g. 2025 HB106 and HB306) and to vote for bills that benefit out-of-state polluters (e.g. 2025 HCR1). She sits on the House Science, Technology, and Energy Committee so other Republican Legislators trust her judgement. Their trust is misplaced.
The fossil fuel industry claims to take climate change from its pollution seriously and says it supports measures to address it, but also funds the promotion of doubt and political manipulation to delay solutions. This two-faced game of deception was exposed long ago by investigative journalists and academic researchers. Representative Notter remains tricked by the bad-actor side of the game. See the pages on this site for more information:
Big Oil's two-faced game of deception: accepting expert consensus while misleading the public & leaders.
Rep. Notter's receipts for over $24,000 rebated from Koch-funded front groups for 16 "educational" trips to front group polluter events.

Ask AI: Is Rep. Notter a reliable expert on climate change? No, it seems she has been tricked.
Are you still not sure there's a conflict of interest? If you see Representative Notter, please ask her:
Why does she believe and redistribute fossil fuel industry propaganda from Heartland Institute while ignoring our state's official 2022 Climate Assessment Report from New Hampshire's state climatologist Dr. Mary Stampone and other leading climate scientists at UNH?
Why does she ignore the NH Department of Environmental Service's understanding of climate pollution, the USGCRP's National Climate Assessment, and the IPCC's Sixth Assessment Report regarding the causes and costs to New Hampshire, the U.S., and the world of global warming from fossil fuel pollution?
Does she bring fossil fuel industry-friendly bills back from ALEC Conferences and work them through the NH legislature? (ALEC is a bill mill used by polluting industries to push bills into states across the country through complicit state legislators.)
Rep. Notter has travelled to at least 16 Koch Network-funded conferences around the country where she's been "educated" with half truths, lies, and myths long refuted by science. Why doesn't she go to events sponsored by legitimate scientific organizations to learn from experts about the evidence-based scientific understanding that refutes what she hears at the Koch Network front group conferences she attends courtesy of polluter industry funding? Why does she believe the Koch Network polluter nonsense?
